Troy began playing for San Diego Sharp Shadow in 1992. The team's rise to a National contender coincided with Troy's arrival and development. As he got better each year, coupled with the depth and training regiment San Diego rose in the rankings culminating with 3 straight National Championships 1995-97. Troy was an intelligent decision making 3.0 ball handler and a confident field general. His Sharp team had depth and talent, however without Troy those championships would have been very difficult.

Troy's experience, leadership and success on the court transferred nicely into his coaching career with San Diego's Sharp Edge beginning in 2005.

His teams have won 2 D1 National Titles and 3 D2 National Titles. Troy also has
coached Team Force; USA Developmental team from 2006-2012 and trained many of the top USQRA athletes and paralympians. Additionally Troy was Assistant Coach Team USA from 2008-12 earning a Bronze Medal in London.
